Most CC is based off of existing meshes in the game so are they not too leeching off EA? Very very few CC creators (compared to how many exist) are making stuff from scratch. I recently downsized on my CC and started using more EA clothing and kept noticing how familar CC looked compared to EA's stuff when it hit me like a brick. Yes, they deserve some form of compensation, but I watched 45 minutes of tutorials on YouTube and I know how to frankenmesh hair and clothes together. Most of these CC creators are just recoloring or slapping together 2 EA meshes and calling it a day. It's getting ridiculous at this point how little most people are doing with CC, calling it theirs, putting it behing virus paywalls and patreon. I can't afford to shell out 1 dollar for all the amazing CC creators because everyone is on patreon. If I could I would, but it's just not a possibility right now.
