Being non-asian bald in asia unenjoyable?

Korea and Japan may have their own standards of beauty that differ from that of the Western world, but in both countries foreigners are given quite a lot of leeway. They understand that we come from a different culture, that we look different and have different notions of attractiveness and style, and that we have a whole different set of social cues that we've been raised with and that we don't necessarily know much about theirs. In Japan for instance, it's very uncommon for Japanese men to have beards and it can very easily cause difficulties in one's professional and romantic pursuits, but as a foreign man you won't be held to the same standard because you're not Japanese and they don't expect you to be Japanese. The same principle applies to your hair or lack thereof. It'll only get in your way if you let it, and you sure as hell seem on your way to creating a self-fulfilling prophecy for no good reason.
