It perfectly makes sense! >!Seeing how big of a difference is made when Mayuri slaps Okabe (and thus rolling into the main series) compared to when Mayuri urges suzuha not to pressure Okabe and thus begins the journey of Okabe finally overcoming his depression and seeing his struggles in coping with Kurisu's death (I e. Steins gate 0) and how then it all boils down to that very slap which will decide the fate of the world is truly satisfying<! Whereas it's so boring if you follow the release order where you already know what's happening.

Because of this reason alone people tend to hate steins gate 0 because they were stupid enough to follow the release order. Following the chronological order makes steins gate 0 so much more exciting! For me steins gate 0 was even better than the original because I followed not the release order!
