Best written character?

Robin

Explaining in full would break the 10 000 character limit.

Short version

Her charactertraits is what I would expect her to develop after seeing what girl she was, what trauma she went through, what her growing up was like, and what stage she was at when entering the story of One Piece.

Everything from entering this underground network of Crocodile, to betraying him, to join Strawhats, to the attitude and labels used at the different strawhats members. It made sense

How she was blackmailed during water7 and enies lobby and how she reacted was just a masterwork in character writing by a man who understands the mental sides of humans affected by their traumas and upbringing.

Rarely have I seen a fictional character where "Wills and Testaments" really reflects in who they have become, but Robin, such a complex upbringing, certainly has it.

Even through the parts of the story where her character got critiqued for being reduced to a background fanservice only figure. Her silent inverted spirit that always trying to put on a smile when she knows others is taking notice of her. She didn't lose that side to her.
