Boeing Seattle vs Boeing Charleston?

I moved to the Seattle area from the south. I knew cost of living was high but I didn't realize how high until I moved here. Which location will you be working in? I would avoid Seattle city proper as thats where the HCOL mainly is. I live in the outskirts. Boeing covers my commuter fare so I never drive (gas is ridiculously $$ here), I am within walking distance of all grocery, doctors, dentist, etc. really anything I need. I planned for this, however. I'm really impressed with their public transportation. But the HCOL comes from more than just rent, its food, gas, etc. My grocery bill has increased by 50%, though the food here is higher quality IMO.

If you are an outdoor adventure type of person this place is a dreamland, but if you're not it can be a difficult place to live. If you are concerned about leaving family/friends/etc., Charleston would be very similar to FL and keep you close to family. Seattle would be a dramatic move but if its just you and you enjoy outdoor recreation consider it a ticket to paradise.
