There is no real way to talk to an internal recruiter from the calls so I would say it will not work. However, one of the questions asked in the interview process was “What is you Dave story?”. There is an expectation that you need to have a personal story in which Dave’s advice helped your finances in some way. I felt the more dire the circumstances you were in and the greater the baby steps helped you, the better position you were in to be selected for another interview. If you were a regular Joe that just had healthy finance habits your whole adult life, never had out of control debt, and was a casual listener or fan of the show I think you were not moved forward. If you said you called in the show and Dave’s advice really helped you in a major way, they I think you were looked at more favorably. That is the only way I can think of being a caller really helping, otherwise you are just applying like everyone else.
