He isn’t an evil influence. A narrative has been built against him mostly by people who have never even heard what he has to say. The reason people even know who he is is only because of his refusal to use neo-pronouns. He also said that he might not use other pronouns like they/them. A lot of people feel strongly about that, but many of the other points he makes are based on research that is taught weekly across most universities in the UK. Only a few weeks ago his most controversial comment popped up in my language and gender applied linguistics class. It wasn’t sourced from him, but was the same terminology.
He’s also spoken against the use of stop and search in London.
The guy gets a ton of hate over petty stuff. Unfortunately, he doesn’t do himself any favours by hanging around with Ben Shapiro and he talks about religion too much. People often upload his videos with the whole “Peterson destroys SJW” stuff, which doesn’t help his image.
