The answer that usually comes up is that PJs are ready to get in and get out and complete the mission by any means necessary. So yeah I mean they'll come in guns blazing if they have to and do whatever they need to do while on the ground. Keep in mind they're trained in the same pipeline as the CCTs and SR's up to a certain point. They're on par w the other SOF forces in many regards. As far as SR. I have seen the term "long range target interdiction" used a lot so take that for what its worth. PJs dont specialize in Direct Action like SEALs or Rangers but it's on their list of capabilities. As far as SR it sounds like they're doing more DA but not dedicated entirely to it compared to Intel/Recce etc.
