CDOT Cycling Strategy

The color coding system made me feel like yea they really get it but then the map made me think no they really don't. There are way too many gaps, which are hard to see since they didn't overlay the color coding on the map but 1/2 mile is a long way to go for some people in a high stress route.

Also the feasibility section seems car-centric. Something is rated as requiring "significant redesign" aka is less feasible because it might require removing a lane of traffic. Roads can be whatever we want them to be, it's just as feasible to continue using Irving Park Rd as is as it is to add a bike lane because Irving Park Rd is going to need to be repaved and maintained and redeveloped in any number of ways in any case, so it is up to us whether we want to accommodate bicycles or not.

I just find discussion around "feasibility" to mean 'whatever we can accomplish without inconveniencing cars too much.' If we can rebuild the interstates every 10 years we can build a protected bike grid.
