Every American should own an AR-15. Easy to use, very dependable, fun to shoot and will kill a motherfucker DEAD if need be. I have 3. Holding one for my nephew, for when he gets older. I personally use a Mossberg 590A1 with a pistol grip for home defense. Slightly shorter and carries 3 more rounds than the 500 (9 total). Then I carry a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec. Originally I thought that was overkill, but it's light and packs a punch and fuck if it doesn't feel amazing in my hands. My girlfriend carries a Ladies Smith & Wesson with Pachmayr grips. My friend and I trained around 100 gay people around the community after the Orlando Massacre. Funny thing is, a gun range opened up right up the street from my house (next to a hospital lol) and that influx in safety courses, range passes, apparel and accessories sales really helped them get their feet off the ground and expand further, allowing them to buy up more land in order for people with high caliber rifles shoot. They expanded 300 feet. And it created jobs. Once you could take rifles, all kinds of people started showing up, they had to hire extra workers to pick up brass and keep the place stocked and manned at all times.
