Coconino Forest will be closing this weekend.

Just being realistic; big difference between doing some basic day hiking in Sedona where there's nothing challenging and millions of people vs the Chiricahua's which are damned remote and generally tough trails with a high chance of there being no other real traffic that time of year (pros and cons to that, of course, but the major con being the lack of assistance if you're not familiar with the area and get in a spot). Again, I think it's a great area and one of the most overlooked in the state; the Chiricahuas particularly are a hidden gem and the temp isn't bad if you're up high. I'm likely going backpacking there this weekend; I just don't want someone who isn't familiar getting the wrong impression
