I big to differ. This is just the next phase of Midoriya's path of becoming the next hero. As for Ichigo, as a diehard Bleach fan, Ichigo had far more problems than this. The joke being what bloodline Ichigo wasn't apart of. And really Ichigo's growth was one of the worst elements of Bleach in that he grew too fast. Midoriya's growth so far has been a lot better. And while this development could go horribly wrong, I'm genuinely excited to see how Horikoshi will handle it and I have faith he will handle it well.

Especially given how he's placed Midoriya in a position that All Might has never been in. I also find it very ironic. Midoriya wanted to be a hero/ and wished for a Quirk. Only to get one of the strongest ever. Talk about a stroke of luck.
