I beat DS1 shirtless, can I beat DeS shirtless? My rolls are garbage right now. Yes, you can beat DeS shirtless just fine. There's only 2 types of rolls in DeS (Fast and Fat) so usually I just wear the best armor I can without fat rolling. There's no mid roll like Dark Souls. Armor doesn't make as much of a difference as it does in Dark Souls. I helped a guy in gold armor twice now. Does this work the same as other games, where if I don't find him, I'll screw up his sidequest? Or since it's a level-based system, is it possible to go back and get him later? I'm pretty sure you can go back and get him later as long as he doesn't die patrolling after you save him, which is kind of rare anyways. (ie: you saved Ostrava in 1-1, so he'll patrol 1-1 and not move to 1-2 until you beat 1-1's boss. If you beat 1-2's boss without finding him in 1-2, you can still go back and find him.) There is something in 1-4 that can cause him to disappear I you don't rescue him in 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 first, so better off to help him a long the way. Do enemies sometimes not respawn? I went back to the bridge place, 1-2, and some of the enemies weren't there. On another visit they were, though. What was up with that? Probably part of Ostrava's rescue side quest. You clear out the hallway underneath the dragon bridge before him to save him, those enemies will not respawn if you die. Most enemies in the game respawn besides NPCs and Black Phantom NPCs.
