Cool little Wario tricks, that I and others have found.

Other, more general notes:

  • Elaboration on the Bike Ledge Cancel - It's possible to run off the stage and IMMEDIATELY Bike back into the ledge, priming the bike for tossing. No need to jump off or worry about timing or anything like that. Bad News: doing this at all is only possible on stages with "solid" ledges. You can do it on FD or Battlefield, but not on (most of) Delfino or Prism Tower.
  • Good News: if you are standing riiiiiight on the ledge (rolling into it works fine), pulling out the bike will cause its initial ground speed to be the slowest possible, which works on any stage, including ones with weird ledges like Yoshi's or Lylat.
  • If the bike hits someone in a grab, it will break the grab but have near-zero knockback. Depending on the opponent, this can work for or against you.
  • If you throw the bike straight up, you can grab it IMMEDIATELY before it touches the ground, allowing for a quick rethrow and preventing the bike from taking further damage. Timing's a bit strict, but it's good for stage control, at least when no platforms are in the way. Nobody wants to challenge that.
  • Sometimes just leaving the bike on the ground is also good stage control, since both picking up the bike and throwing it involve somewhat lengthy animations. If you can trick the opponent into picking up the bike near you, you get a free grab at a minimum. Beware of doing this against Villager (for obvious reasons) and DK (because he can do more with a held bike than you can).
  • If you're throwing a bike off the ledge for edgeguarding purposes, the optimal distance for doing so is, coincidentally, approximately the length of one roll away from the ledge.
