I can't say I agree with how TB responded to this but at the same time he's immersed in this industry nearly 24/7 and I can absolutely appreciate how one could from time to time snap over the insanity of it all. TB still remains one of the only people I can trust in the industry and I think it's pretty clear his heart is in the right place. If TB reads this I'd recommend him to stay clear of this kind of arguing as all it does is provide the wrong kind of people with ammunition. Debate them on their points and views instead of these small tweets as you're so much better at providing long thought out, reasoned arguments than being involved in this shouting contest. I think you'd probably give yourself the same advice if you were to look from an outsiders perspective. I realise by writing this I'm giving way to the mindset that negative stuff gets a lot more attention as I've been a fan of TB for about 18 months now and I've never taken the time to complement him or provide support even though I love his work. I apologise for that but he should consider how much of his fan base silently loves his work compared to the so often talked about vocal minority. I wouldn't be surprised if this rubbed some of his fans the wrong way and I personally consider it a mistake, but that's it, a mistake, not something to throw someone to the wolves over. There's currently a bit of an unspoken rule on the internet that everybody has to have a perfect record in the eyes of every single one of their viewers or they become worthless. This isn't how we treat people in real life and I hope it stops. I personally hope TB just forgets about this whole gamergate issue as the whole thing is just becoming more and more of a joke. I don't know who Leigh Alexander is but so many of the people TB gets caught up in 'battle' with are just doing it for attention or money and create long circler arguments causing nothing but frustration. If they have merit behind them, then we can expect scientific evidence and studies and they should by stumbling over each other to give it to us. Lastly I think a lot of TB's anger towards the situation comes from people grouping him in with misogynists, homophobes, racists and so on. From what I've seen I think TB feels quite passionately about equality so to be linked to them is hard to deal with. That's how I feel when I read these articles saying gaming causes or attracts these kinds of people when I know no gamer in my life who would act in such a way. I wish you the best TB. Hopefully you won't let yourself get sucked further into all this as I think you're better than it although I do admire your willingness to speak up about controversial topics. Stay strong and remember you have thousands of fans who hugely appreciate the work you do for them, some amazing colleagues and friends such as Jesse and dodger along with a wife it's clear you love very much.
