What empire fanatics? I honestly can’t say I have seen any myself.

Wanting a voluntary political union (even if it is more than what others want) is not akin to wanting the return of the British Empire.

Wanting a flag is not akin to wanting a return to the British Empire. Both the European Union and the United Nations have their own flags but I doubt you would agree they are empires?

An empire is a very specific type of organisation and I have seen few if anyone actually advocating for a British Empire Mk2.

In fact I have seen way way more people complaining about Empire fanatics than I have actually seen Empire fanatics.

Which makes me wonder whether these accusations of ‘Empire Mk2’ are just a red herring used by CANZUK critics to try dissuade other CANZUK supporters from supporting increasingly closer relations between the CANZUK countries.
