Creating a "Great Books of the South Asian World" list

Trying to work on something similar myself. Some highlights of what might help you I've found.

  1. the book Six Great Ideas by MJA. Here one of the things he gives is a simplified —in a good way—form to his Great Ideas concept after decades of reflection on it.
  2. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Chinese_classics and https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Classic_Chinese_Novels somewhat organized but not polished and maybehttps://www.wikiwand.com/en/Ruzang
  3. the book The Great Civilized Conversation: Education for a World Community By Wm. Theodore de Bary. haven't read it yet since it's in the mail, but the author started a series of academic "sources" books which I haven't been able to look into yet. I'd say this is your best bet.
  4. The series of lectures this is a part of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm5shbevrpQ&t=3s might be of some use as well.

I'll add more if I can remember. Feel free to contact me if you need/find anything else.
