Creepy Raleigh tech professional drags the wrong woman into his fake life

To what extent was she a "victim"? And of what exactly? Libel?

Somebody used a picture of her that she proudly makes clear had become a meme. Do you know what happens with memes? They get seen by a lot of people and get used in a lot of ways that are out of your control. I'm not sure how much of a victim she is in the case of somebody using a photo that has become a meme for a fake internet life that very few people actually saw until she brought the attention to it. I mean, how many followers did this guy and his fake life really have?

Now, overly attached girlfriend, that girl was 100% undeniably harassed. People found out where she worked, personal info., etc. and started to contact her. This picture wasn't posted in association with her name at all. There was no attempt to contact her. The guy used a picture that was a meme and changed the context of it. It happens ALL the time. For somebody seemingly so internet savvy, I'm a little confused about why she seems to have taken such person offense to it and turned into an essay about men interacting with women.

And look, this behavior of creating a fake online persona is weird. And taking a picture of somebody and claiming they're stalking you is weird. I'm not suggesting otherwise in the least bit. The guy was in the wrong. But was she legitimately harmed by this in any way that we're labeling her a "victim" and accusing people of victim shaming?
