진짜 비스트는 지난해 10월 큐브와 계약 만료 후 어라운드어스라는 독립적인 회사를 신설했다. 그러나 큐브가 보유 중인 비스트 상표권에 대해 협의하지 못해 비스트라는 이름을 쓰지 못하고 있었다. 또한, 비스트로서 발표한 노래에 대한 저작권이 큐브에 있다. 큐브는 이러한 점을 악용해 새로운 비스트를 만든 것.
큐브는 공식 보도자료에서 “2009년 데뷔한 비스트는 '쇼크 '.'숨'등을 히트 시키며 큐브엔터테인먼트의 대표 보이그룹으로 명실상부 최고의 아이돌로 자리매김”이라는 표현을 사용했다. 그러나 비스트라는 이름만 가지고 있는 진짜 비스트가 될 수 없다.
비스트가 인기가 있는 이유는 이름이 비스트이기 때문이 아니라 윤두준, 양요섭, 이기광, 용준형, 손동운이 함께 모인 비스트이기 때문이다. 큐브는 왜 아무에게도 환영받지 못하는 결정을 했을까. 벌써부터 큰 파장이 일어나고 있다.

During the PR, Cube mentioned Beast started in 2009, and became Cube Entertainment's centre boy group with various hits.. But they really can't call some guys BEAST and be like the real BEAST.
The reason why BEAST is so famous is not because of the name BEAST, but because it has all the other members in it.
I still don't get why Cube decided to go with a plan that nobody would welcome. It already is bringing a lot of controversies.
