I deal with this all the time. I hardly consider myself butch. I'm just some weird artsy guy that likes to paint and dress all formal goth, I'm not a butch lesbian. I'm short, I wear mainly menswear but I dress pretty sharp and I like to add certain dark colors to the mix like dark red or dark purple. But a lot of people take one look at the short haircut and immediately assume that I am a tough as nails butch lesbian who despises men when in reality I have a lot more in common with feminine guys and I'm am attracted to men, I'm just frustrated with that attraction because I see men as unattainable. I don't think there's anything wrong with being a butch lesbian, I'm just not one.
