So with the deadline in our league seeing big trades we saw 2 teams upgrade their staffs.
I got Degrom Kluber Bumgarner Maeda and the team right behind me got Scherzer Strasburg Corbin Kennedy.
Now these trades involving giving up keepers which has always been a contentious point when these trades happen and although I did benefit I would like to curtail these type of things happening every year.
One suggestion was that every playoff team would receive $50 (Our buy in is $125) and I added to that the no playoff teams should pay in an extra $25 the following season, creating a $75 swing for not making the playoffs. It would mean that teams that are right on the cusp wouldn't sell at the deadline and would make a push to get into the playoffs.
Anyone have a similar issue or solution?
