I'm not trying to equate it, I'm trying to understand the differences. The way I see it, pedophiles didn't choose to be born that way. If they were given the choice, they most certainly wouldn't have chosen it. Shouldnt these people deserve a safe place too?

I don't consider being a rapist a sexuality because what defines a rapist is non-consent, not who they are attracted to.

And to be honest, I think straight cis people should at the very least be welcoming to pedohpiles who genuinely do not want to hurt or harm anyone, and take steps to prevent themselves from doing so, despite having attraction to minors.
