DAILY QUESTIONS/THEORIES/ETC- Murdaugh Murder Trial March 01, 2023

I believe Alex Murdaugh is not guilty of the crime he is being charged with.

My theory is he owed someone/group of people A LOT of money for the drugs he was clearly involved in trafficking. I don’t believe he had an addiction. I believe the checks he was writing to Curtis Smith were not for his own use of the drugs, but for Curtis’ involvement in pushing the drugs. That’s why he made up his addiction story, even tho it’s a bad one.

I believe they came that night to collect money and it went horribly wrong and he had to watch them kill his family. His clothes probably had blood on them so he had showered and changed. He knew he had to create an alibi to save himself. I think that’s why he started explaining the boat accident when the officer first pulled up. He knew someone did it but couldn’t say who and had to put blame so they didn’t start digging.

Him being involved in drug trafficking would explain the no cameras on the property. It would explain that there were multiple people there that night (multiple shooters) but Alex couldn’t ever out them or tell the police for fear of them coming after his remaining family members.

Regardless of if this is it or not, there’s something MAJOR he’s still hiding. I don’t think he was the shooter.

He’s lying and getting caught in lies but telling the truth would be much much worse, not just going to jail. So he will continue to lie and get caught in the lies but he will never tell the truth of what happened that night.

Thoughts?
