My First VR Experience

To start things off, my vive will arrive Thursday, 4/21/16. The vive I used for my first experience was my brothers that arrived today 4/19/16. The first game I tried was tilt brush and it blew my mind. Just trying to understand what is going on and trying to realize that I'm actually still in the room that I'm in was the weird part. It tricked my brain to really think I was somewhere else. I didn't know what to create first so I did a tornado looking thing. I messed around with that for a while until I was ready for something else. The next game was holopoint. It was an intense game that keeps you on the move. You definitely need a decent size play space in order to be the best you can be at this game. I also tried hover junkers for a bit and it was a bit confusing as far as controls but I enjoyed laying down on my ship and looking at my guns for a few minutes. The last 2 games I played were by far the best. Both are part of the Lab. Xortex and the bow and arrow game...Not sure the proper name. Xortex's graphics or visuals were clearly better than any other game I had tried. It was amazing how much depth you can feel while using the vive. The last game was the bow and arrow game, also part of the lab. It was a lot of fun and very put together. It just worked and thats what makes it so good. The vive is more than I thought it would be. I have been waiting for at least 2 years to try virtual reality. I honestly can't put the experience of virtual reality into my own words. You just have to try it to understand. I know that before I had tried it, I was always looking for someone to explain in detail..what it was like. I never found the answer to that, it was always " Just try it yourself". I now understand that. I absolutely believe that VR is the future after trying it tonight. No doubt in my mind that is was worth the almost $900.
