I've tried just telling people to search before posting but apparently that is considered rude somehow so I resorted to having fun by keeping a list of how many times stuff gets posted.

Some times people feel ashamed and delete it which is also nice but I mainly do it for myself and it takes little to no effort.

When it could be avoided (such as posting news about something), making countless posts about the same thing not only clutters the sub but it also harms any possible discussion as you get people posting their thoughts on differents thread when they could all be discussing in the same place.

If my links bother you as much as seeing reposts bother me, put me on your ignore. ;)
