The breeder we got her from are having another litter in a few weeks. My SO and I are tossing the idea around of getting a male to add to our family. I think our current dog would do very well with another dog in the house. I know the rule of thumb is to wait til they’re around 2 years before adding another. She does get a little bossy sometimes, and we also plan on getting her fixed once she has her first heat cycle. That’ll hopefully happen before we get this other pup.

Please comment on why this is all a bad idea. Also please don’t bring up waiting til 2years of age before getting her fix. Our vet, who we trust, says after the first heat cycle.
