Have conservatives ever heard of this quote?

No, the disconnect is deliberately using that word designed to invoke a defensive response. Before it was a racially-charged term, what did people really think of? The special benefits one receives as a result of being high-status. Most people aren't "high status".

If it was framed in regards to fairness, rather than privilege, you'd probably see more folks willing to listen. But framing it that way can often mean disregarding the frivolous.

There is no shortage of frivolous here, and it poisons the well. If you say it's a privilege that when white people go to a doctor, they'll have a doctor who's white like they are (same goes for educators), you can't be that dense to be shocked at the collective eye-rolling that occurs in response.

And maybe there are disparities along racial lines in terms of quality of care. When controlling for everything else, leading to a suggestion that an agenda would be at play. On a side note, I'm curious as to when it's okay to suggest some health experts may have an agenda but that's another story. But framing it in a sense of people of X race need to see medical professionals who are also X, that's hardly a step above trolling.
