The thing about Sendo is that he can take any amount of punishment (Ippo's punches aside). He can throw a punch three hundred times in a fight and hit air every time, but eventually he will hit once and the match will change on his favor.

Miyata is the other way around. He will dominate the first half (without being able to end the fight unless he is fighting against non that good boxers), but then just by boxing normally without even being hit he will get tired. Then he will have trouble dodging regular punches.

Eventually, it will come down to "who has the bigger plot armor", and so far it is Sendo, because he is a much worse boxer in between the two.
