Total budget and country of purchase: Under $1,500, but would like to go cheaper, if possible. United States.
Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply. 2 in one form factor is nice, but not required. Good battery life is important - at least 5 hours, preferably more.
How important is weight to you? Very. I'd like a thin/light laptop.
Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac. Windows.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 13-15.
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A. I'm going to use primarily MS Office and do web browsing, but occasionally I program, and would want to do light photo/video editing, and very light gaming.
If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Very light gaming. Think PacMan, not Call of Duty.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? I'd like a good keyboard, trackpad, and good build quality. I don't care if it has a touch-screen (unless it's a convertible with a digitizer, but I think that may be out of my price range).
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I want the computer to be stable/reliable and not too glitchy. I don't want to spend a lot of time figuring out why "X" driver isn't working with the laptop itself. If the laptop is upgradable, that's a plus - but build quality and use stability is paramount.
