If I want to take a trip to the Uffizi, I can look up David online or the Birth of Venus, or the architecture of the gallery as much as I want. There’s even an option for a virtual tour. But it can never compare to actually being there, standing in the crowd craning my head to look up at a sculpture I’ve only seen in art history books.

That’s kind of how I feel about story and environment spoilers. I saw the big ruin guard in leaks, but the first time I turned around and noticed it, it wasn’t like “oh hey, yeah I saw that in the leaks” but more “holy shit” and then a minute later, “the leaks did not feel this cool.”
