Developing technical skills as an I/O

While highly competent and overall a good person, Cunningham has some views that are pretty shocking that he would casually drop in class. He once told his class a story of how he was booed at a conference (geared towards women) because he suggested that rather than pursue work-life balance, we should instead be making a choice. He seemed to have no awareness of why he was booed and didn't acknowledge the fact that the majority of people are not privileged enough to make the choice between work or family. For more context, his wife had a very successful career, but instead chose to raise their family. Perfectly fine, but very few are privileged enough to make that choice. UTC is an excellent program, and Dr. Cunningham's comments were really the only thing that bothered be about that program.
