Full disclouse: I'm a Baruch grad student but I looked into the NYU and Hofstra programs pretty heaviliy so I feel like I can give a fair apprisal.

If you're looking at metropolitan grad programs, I would strongly consider Baruch. It's a city school so you get a very smiliar education to NYU (like they share a number of professors) and they're a 3rd of the cost. Also, if you have interest in getting a Phd I found them to be more focused on research whereas NYU was very targeted towards consultant work with their think-tank program. I would suggest either over Hofstra. Their program is Okay, costs a private school amount, and is not really "metropolitan." I grew up 5 miles from there and it's straight up the suburbs.
