[OC] Walt Disney World Ticket Price Increase vs Wages, Rent, and Gasoline

Looks about right.

Disney World and Disney Land is an odd socioeconomic divergent point. My entire life I've only heard of "rich kids" going there.

When I meet people and become friends with those outside my immediate social circles I get a lot of odd and incredulous looks when I talk about the parks. The usual response had been "no it's not" (only for the rich) and comments about how sure they might have gone, but only once because it's an event and not a simple vacation spot.

To which I usually reply "you went on vacation?"

I've only been a couple days drive away my entire life and the thought of using money for the gas, the hotel, the park and the lack of income from missing work makes both parks a complete non-factor.

I consider myself lucky to have visited the Enchanted Forest with a big group as a kid. (A small-ish theme park in Oregon.)

Rollercoaster Tycoon / Theme Park (Bullfrog) and State or County Fairs is the closest I'll ever get to Disney World.
