Did you do a diet change when on metformin ttc

I'm overweight and I didn't really change my food selection that much tbh. I was already eating at a deficit to manage my weight. To manage my insulin resistance, I started taking glucose readings to see what would spike my glucose a lot. It made me start pairing foods differently (if I ate something with higher carbs I would also eat protein and fat and maybe a fibrous food with it), and I started walking for 30 mins once a day after a meal in addition to my usual workouts 4x a week. That's it. My carbs were on the lower/moderate side (75-150g per ~1600cal).

I did try keto the first month I was on metformin and it actually extended my cycle (plus I missed fruit), so I stopped that immediately. I know some folks really benefit from it, but it's not for me.

The metformin, ovasitol, and minor lifestyle change helped a lot, and I actually ended up ovulating for the first time in 10 months last month. I'm not sure if it's as helpful for you since your dietary needs are likely much more different, but you could try monitoring how you feel after eating certain foods and going for a walk l to see if that helps. I think the fact that you're cutting out sugar and eating more complex carbs is definitely going to benefit you in the long run!!
