[Discussion] General unhappiness?

I can tell you that you are not alone with that sentiment, in fact for me it's exactly the way I feel about my job, monotonous routine day in and day out but I have managed to reduce this feeling. I think one of the biggest punishments we give ourselves is comparing other people's lives to our own and continually put ourselves down for failing to meet those persons apparent "whatever we are wanting" level, and sadly for us that have this tendency the feeling only dissipates with time and effort to focus on the good things in our lives, diligent focus. There are honestly a million things you can diverge your attention to that can have a positive impact on your well being according with your current situation, the internet alone is of great help for finding new things to do and one I can tell you has helped me the most is bettering myself as a person, I also don't have many friends and I've never had a girlfriend but I have gained enough self-confidence in myself as a worth while person that the tedious circumstances In my life are not as negative as I once thought they were. One of my biggest motivators was in fact feeling inadequate to be in a relationship, it made search for ways to change this and after five long years of work I still don't have a girlfriend lol but what changed immensely was the realization that only I can make myself feel better by being active in my desicion to feel better, exercising alone will make you feel a lot better and you don't even need a gym to get a good workout, burpees will gas you out and /r/bodyweightfitness can tone you up. Anyway I'm sorry for the wall of text I just really sympathized with the way you are describing your feelings, if you take anything from this please remember it does get better but have to be the one to make it that way and happy birthday!
