Does anyone else get these months where they’re utterly terrified and have a “feeling” they’re pregnant even though literally nothings happened that makes it something to consider?? How can i stop it?

I’ve been on the combination pill for 8 years now. I’ve always had my long term partners finish inside, and I’ve never had a scare.

I’m not perfect with my pills, but I’m close. I take them at night before bed, which is pretty much the same time on the weekdays, but weekends I usually take it a few hours later than normal. I’ve gotten sick in the past and probably puked up my pill. And I’m sure I’ve fallen asleep on the couch before taking my pill and had to take it in the wee hours of the morning.

It’s gotten to the point where I honestly think I might have underlying fertility issues because everyone else seems to panic that they’ll get pregnant on the pill. In reality, the pill is extremely effective and you’re going to be just fine!

If you’re worried about the pill not being enough, I would recommend an IUD. This would take out the uncertainty and timing issues with taking the pill.

It’s not uncommon at all to have anxiety about getting pregnant. But as the older you get and the longer you’ve been on birth control, the more that anxiety fades away.
