Is anybody else terrified of physical touch?

I'm sorry you struggle with this. That sounds difficult to navigate through. Trauma doesn't judge, you know? I understand from personal experience that trust can be there, but the phsyical reaction is involuntary and can be really rough- even when you love someone.

I don't mind this as much from a significant other as I do when medical professionals touch me without letting me know, or asking. I have trust issues from past medical trauma. I got an MRI the other day and the nurse was really sweet at first, walking me through everything. Suddenly she got distracted talking to her coworker and shoved an earplug in my ear without telling me. I didn't like that and got a little offput. Another nurse last month reached out and touched my blouse while complimenting it. I was there for a mental health crisis, so I was already on edge...Ugh.
