The dogs. The Morris brothers. This is personal.

No, fuck Cronulla most of all. When they conspired with Murdoch to create a comp that would have seen the dragons die or sent to Brisbane they were only fielding a team due to money lent to them by the ARL. In our glory days the dragons had Cronulla and the Illawarra as part of our territory and I look forward to when Cronulla inevitably folds and we reclaim what is ours. I don't recognise the right of Cronulla to exist, and see our merger with the steelers as more natural than farm churned butter.

I resent Melbourne for the way they have conducted themselves, but with AFL expanding into League territory we must have a footprint in their territory. They are a necessary evil, but league is at its healthiest when supporters have teams to hate. I felt bad during the many years Souths were going so poorly that I liked to see them win.

Having said all that, I hate the dogs with a passion. Bullfrog Moore should have gone to gaol for conspiring to bring down an organisation he helped run. My first date with the Mrs was a dragons dogs game and she was a dogs supporter. The dogs won, but I made it clear to her that any second date was dependent on her abandoning the dogs and walking in the bright light of hope and promise that only dragons supporters know. She agreed, which was surprising because I'm rubbish in bed. Maybe she thought I had money as I was wearing my one collared shirt (because it was red).

I seem to have gone off on a tangent, which happens when I talk about super league. It still makes my blood boil, and if not for the great Mark Coyne I would have burnt my jersey and sent the ashes to our leagues club. Our club is not just a jumper to me but a set of values that the players express each week on the field. I feel that Mark Coyne is our greatest ever clubman, and Rod Reddy (despite his deeds as a player) is someone I'd cross the street to avoid.

I have to stop now cause my blood pressure has risen talking about super league but before I stop I must mention Paul Harrigan. I know he was an enemy soldier, but without him the super league war would have been lost.
