Yes this is why most of the world is sanctioning the shit out of Russia and doing what they can to drain their bank accounts and decrease war funding. This is why they don't have McDonalds and other products like Heineken are leaving the country.

The Russian government lets you make money. If they want a chunk, you're forking it over. Nobody's turning a profit in Russia without a fat taxed chunk of it funding some mercenaries.

Dumping funding into gaming is actually a genius idea for Russia since gamers are one of the few massive markets full of people ignorant enough to throw millions into their banks just because they're having a fun time. If it didn't take so long to pump out titles, we'd be seeing more of this.
