“I don’t think being prescribed Zofran is good for your emetophobia”

As long as you don't take antiemetics every time you get nauseated and only when you are certain you are going to throw up, you'll be fine. Why is perfecting our disgusting, imperfect, evil bodies that torture us with vomiting seen as so bad?

If this person got norovirus (which is one of the most infectious diseases ever, and you are guaranteed to get it several times in your life because its EVERYWHERE and it only needs 19 to make you throw up so badly that you'll want to die) then time will be critical. You cant drive down to the doctor's office get the prescription, drive down to the pharmacy, place an order, and wait a week to get the antiemetic when norovirus literally only needs hours to make you start throwing up.

So yeah, I disagree, the nurse is no saint and as long as we aren't popping them, I think antiemetics shouldn't be locked behind these arbitrary prescriptions. In fact, taking too many antiemetics can make you throw up, making it a great incentive to use them only when you actually need them.
