I have a relationship with some clients close to a personal relationship with friends where the messages include bare minimum amount of words to convey said message. "Issue with customs, deadline pushed back 3 days. Ill make it up to you" and they'll usually be relieved because most people would give them the work around half truth bullshit. But also I must remind you i'm my own boss so it's not like I'm grinding for some promotion or trying to stand out among 1000 different people. I provide a service well, honestly.
