Does anyone know the total number of authorized shares that DPLS has? Not just outstanding (4.98b), but total authorized in all classes. I like the idea of the buyback because I think we all want the same thing… long term value. But I am wondering if all authorized shares are in play or not. This would be an important factor in deciding the best course.

A buyback alone may not have any impact near or long term. As the shares would already be active and ready to be reissued in future funding. Yes, that would be preferential if I was leading the company. But as an investor - I would prefer to see a repurchase AND retirement of shares. It would decrease shares outstanding, but also reduce authorized shares. Without the retirement of repurchased shares… each investors “slice” of the pie would not actually get bigger.
