Haha, I have plenty of birdseed but I'm not sure it would work.
As stated in my original post, I have a huge, beautiful wood and slate bird table in my back garden that one of my other neighbours hand built for me after he found out that my original bird table was stolen.
I'm disabled and spend a lot of time in bed, the table is visible from my bedroom window as I love to watch the birds. I keep the table and the ground around it well stocked with all kinds of stuff to attract as many different kinds of bird as I can.
As a result my garden is constantly swarmed with birds of all kinds and any seed I put out would be long gone before it had a chance to germinate. My husband happily scatters it on the ground for the ground-feeding birds as he knows it won't get left long enough to grow and spoil his vegetable patch.
I'd have to actually bury it in their garden for it to stand a chance and that would look rather suspicious! It would be obvious that I'd messed with their overgrown, shitty lawn.
They wouldn't care anyway as their lawn is already full of various knee-high weeds and things like wheat and barley (we're rural and close to a bunch of farms).
Plus I live in England and their part of the garden is exposed, shaded by the house for most of the day and is basically a wind tunnel, so it's highly unlikely that hemp would manage to grow.
If I thought it would work I'd totally do it!! Maybe it would teach them to follow the rules of their tenancy for once...
I don't really care though, in a few weeks they won't be my problem anymore and just knowing that they won't be able to show off "their lovely patio garden" when entertaining in summer is enough for me!
It'll be pretty obvious that none of it was theirs once we leave and they're going to look pretty stupid considering how much they bragged to their friends about "their" beautiful patio the last few years.
When there's suddenly no garden furniture, barbecue, flowers or privacy in the form of beautiful flowering bushes and climbers it will become clear that they're lying dickheads!!
I only wish I could be around to see how they explain it when their friends come over expecting their usual outdoor parties this summer!
