Truck Drivers who won't turn off their engine? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

I see 100+ drivers per day. I do everything in my power to make their check ins smooth, friendly and professional. Many of these drivers i know on a first name basis. A large number of drivers have shitty dispatchers or carriers and make their problems, my problems. The thousands of times I've had to explain procedures, many of which I don't even agree with, hasn't made me any less friendly when a driver shows up. The drivers attitude, however, does determine how friendly I continue being. I get it. Yall work long hours. The security gate workers are people as well, and try to do their jobs correctly. We do care.

Your response makes it seem as though the drivers are the only people that matter and comes across extremely black/ white and at best, condescending.
