Don’t worry, religious people don’t even believe.

What battle? Religion isn’t self-preservation. Christianity is about following Christ, which is loving your fellow man. That is extremely difficult. Being a practicing Christian and following in Christs footsteps as best I can has been the single hardest thing I’ve done in my entire life. Putting the sword, while still holding my Bible in one hand and trying to hug my enemy with the other is the only battle I aim for.

Even if it is all fake. A flying spaghetti-monster in the sky and all the self-righteous Dawkins and Krauss talk, then Jesus Christ has taught me more about loving my fellow man than any philosopher that has muttered two sentences has ever put together. If you think religion is self-preservation, then that is probably on you and the projection of your insecurities. Don’t speak up on Reddit because the truth is, this is Reddit, no one comes here to debate, we come here to voice our opinions because we are just entitled. If you are saying you are fighting this battle, then do it silently at your congregation, your friends, your loved ones. Christ speaks about his followers from their works, but works alone is not your ticket to heaven. You are not being smart about it IMO, you are being manipulated and maybe manipulative about it IMO.

But, like I stated earlier, this is Reddit. I’m logging off to continue to glean of quantum mechanics and the wonderment of gravity after I read a bit of Psalms. Goodnight.
