Everything Tony Gilroy has said about season 2 so far

Why? Having someone working on a Star Wars who’s both a good writer and also knows Star Wars sounds good to me

Because nothing i like about Andor has anything to do with the Star Wars IP specifically. The appeal is that it's refreshingly un-SW and is genuinely just a good show that happens to have SW aesthetics.

I'm apprehensive about mixing up the formula. Like you said before your edit, "look how good the first season turned out." The first season being good is an argument against changing the writers for season 2. Why fix what isn't broken?

Considering Tony Gilroy hates Star Wars, I find it unlikely that he "hand picked" Bissell. I agree that the S1 writers' room likely benefitted from a mix of fans and not-fans of SW, but that's only because it was presumably Gilroy vs Disney execs. I'm not eager to shift that balance in Disney favor.

Also, is Tom Bissell a "good writer" and someone you are familiar with? I've never heard of him, but after a Google search, I'm not impressed with his credits. "The Disaster Artist" and co-author/punch-up on a few video games.
