We improved it. You're welcome.

Yes its origins can be the same, but it is not the exact same dish or cuisine. Cajun food is heavily influenced by West African cultures, and closer in flavor profile to Caribbean/African food than French. It also uses much different ingredients. There’s also frequently meat in jambalaya, usually sausage and chicken, along with the seafood.

Did the French/Spanish invent “jambalaia”? Or is that just what they called their version of a dish that is in cuisines all over the world? So if the word was imported from the French for a dish common all over the world, it has to be French even if it’s an entirely different variant? Paella is essentially fried rice. So is it Chinese?
