ExMormon curious about Paganism...

Hello, fellow former Mormon interested in Paganism!

I don't have much to offer other a greeting letting you know that you aren't alone. I haven't resigned yet, but I've been exploring Paganism here and there throughout my life.

My husband and I were part of a local Pagan group several years ago (yes, even though we were still members) because we connected with them on a more meaningful level than anyone at church. It was more of a forum for people to discuss ideas and philosophy than to do any worship. We loved exploring the concepts of the Goddess, trying to fill in the blanks of the doctrine/speculation on "Heavenly Mother." We also really loved the connection with nature.

Right now, I'm in the phase of "keeping my eyes, mind, and heart open." I'm still a little bitter toward the church, and I recall how bitter many of the folks in the Pagan group were about Christianity in general. I'm not interested in hanging on to bitterness, so I'm moving slowly and seeing what people believe, and what feels right for me.

I've pretty much only lurked on this subreddit until now. But I thought I'd say hi, anyway, partly because I've felt a little lonely in this spiritual journey, too. A lot of ex-Mormons become Atheist, but that doesn't feel right for me.

Good luck to you on your journey!
