Experiences living in the city?

I live in Washington State and yes the nature is the best part but the worst is the human nature that fills a city. I live in the heart of downtown so I basically have to endure the verbal abuse and toxicity being that I live right below a college campus and the endless amounts of bars and clubs. Essentially every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm-ish to 3am there is wave after wave of increasingly drunk people yelling at the person they are talking to who is two feet away...

I don’t have AC either so the best way to keep our apartment cool is to have all the windows open which allows me to hear the footsteps down the block. Did I mention the young men who do nothing but drive around in circles with modified cars that emit the most obnoxious and god awful noise? You can basically hear them from as far as a 4-5 block radius and you can literally hear them circle the blocks while blasting music so loud you don’t know which is louder the muffler or music...

Winter time is quite delightful though as most of that noise is gone but I really dread living in a city during the summer here. This is only my third year but I’m hoping within the next few years to either be living in a sailboat or closer to the mountain in the farm country.
