Although in all frankness, 682 would die as long as Goku just outright used a Kamehameha. We cannot kill 682 because we can't destroy it before it begins to regenerate and adapt, something Goku can do. SCP gets very close a couple of times but are too afraid to try to use the big guns because of the risk when they instead can just contain it.

However if Goku shoots like a ki blast and only injures or splatters 682 then we will have another Perfect Cell scenario but infinitely worse.

People, please stop saying 096, if 096 cannot harm or kill something then it will recognize that it can't and just give up. And it definitely cannot harm Goku.
